Maïna Béland-Rahm is a queer, bilingual, multidisciplinary creator living in Edmundston, New Brunswick. After obtaining a Diploma from Randolph College for the Performing Arts, Maïna decided to put movement, devised theatre, and social justice at the heart of their practice. Their past credits include: Parry Riposte (dir. Goldie Micomonaco - Frameline Film Festival 2020), Boy Before (dir. Onyeka Oduh - TIFFNext Wave 2020, Toronto Queer Film Festival 2019), ARTSTAR!!! (bc/pa - Nuit Blanche 2019) and Operations (1945-2006): Movements (bc/pa - Nuit Blanche 2018). They also co-choreographed a piece for Luna Li’s single “Space” and performed it along with Zev Mair during their single release show for “Silverinto Rain” (Baby G 2018).
