In the fall of 2016, Empire of the Son written by Tetsuro Shigematsu and directed by Pi AD Richard Wolfe headed off on a Canadian tour - and Pi was there, assisting the Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre.

Tetsuro discovers vast worlds contained within his emotionally remote father - from the ashes of World War II and Hiroshima, to swinging London in the 1960s, and all the way to Montreal.

Empire of the Son was first remounted here at The Cultch from November 1-13, 2016.

The tour then moved with AD Richard to the National Arts Centre in Ottawa from November 22-December 3, 2016.

In the new year, the show was in Montreal at the Centaur Theatre from January 11-14, 2017.

And then both Richard and GM Shayna were in Toronto to meet the tour at Factory Theatre running from January 18-29, 2017.
