Pi Theatre presented The Fathieh Honari Ensemble Featuring Gordon Grdina live in concert at The Fox Cabaret on March 17th, 2016.

In this remarkable concert experience, Fathieh is joined by Grdina who is bringing together members of the bands Qalandar and Vashaan for a celebration of Middle Eastern music. This concert will combine the introspection of the great Persian tradition with the joyous exaltation of Balochi folk songs. The concert features Fathieh, Gordon, Reza Honari, Ali Razmi and Hamin Honari.

This concert is part of Pi Theatre’s exploration into Middle Eastern culture leading up to its production of the Canadian premiere of The Invisible Hand by Pulitzer prize-winning Pakistani-American playwright Ayad Akhtar (on stage at The Cultch in April). Gordon Grdina is the musical director for The Invisible Hand, and his compositions will feature Fathieh Honari as lead vocalist.
